Visite de M. Charles Stevens

Nous avons eu le plaisir de recevoir M. Charles Stevens, avocat et professeur à l’Université de Montfort, Royaume-Uni, du 07 au 29 octobre 2017.

Les étudiants de la Faculté de droit ont pu bénéficier de ses conférences en :

  • droit commercial européen et international (LLM European and International Business law)
  • droit anglo-américain (Anglo American Law)

Nous remercions également M. Stevens pour sa participation à deux « English Lunch » organisés par les enseignantes d’anglais à la Faculté de droit. Ces déjeuners sont l’opportunité de se retrouver, lors d’un moment convivial, et d’échanger en anglais le temps du repas.

I am delighted to share my special interest in international commercial law and my lengthy practical experience of the common law with highly motivated students at USMB Law School in a beautiful campus surrounded by stunning scenery.

I firmly believe in a practical approach to legal education and the EIBL students have responded well to a problem based learning approach to a real-life case I am handling involving cross border mis-selling that raises issues of EU law, International Jurisdiction, and International banking law. In a tutorial on the future of International trade law student led discussion raised some highly innovative and intellectually stimulating ideas.

The academic and administration staff have shown themselves to be very friendly and helpful.

USMB and Chambery are truly amazing and it is a pleasure for me to be here.
