Célébration et Avenir du double Master en Droit des Affaires Européen et International entre l’USMB et Vilnius.
Les représentants de l’Université Myloas Romeris de Vilnius en visite à l’USMB.
Du 22 au 25 octobre 2023, la Faculté de droit à reçu une délégation de l’Université Mykolas Romeris de Vilnius – Lituanie : Madame la Doyenne Lyra Jakulevičienė et Virginijus Bité co-responsable du parcours de Master “European & International Business Law”.
Cette visite marque les 10 années du double Master Chambéry – Vilnius (près de 150 doubles diplômés depuis 2013). Outre l’anniversaire de la coopération, la visite a été consacrée au suivi de la coopération et à l’étude des perspectives d’approfondissement et de développement.
Une conférence a été donnée par Madame la Doyenne Lyra Jakulevičienė le mardi 24 octobre de 8h30 à 11h30 en salle 20020 sur le thème “The Impact of New Technologies on Human Rights (legal aspects)”.

The Impact of New Technologies on Human Rights (legal aspects)

Abstract
AI and other technologies are more and more interfering into our private and official lives. Technologies may facilitate certain legal functions, provide better access to justice, but it may also raise a number of human rights issues. The lecture will explore the impacts of technologies on human rights, including positive ones, but also certain concerns, using some practical examples (e.g. on facial recognition technologies, mass-surveillance of communications, use of AI in social security decision making, and others). It will review the most recent jurisprudence of European courts, ECtHR in particular, with regard to impact on human rights by the use of new technologies, the legal standards and dilemmas. Technologies are also changing the work of lawyers, how to prepare or adjust to this new environment, will be dwelled upon as well.
